Helping out, Playing out, and Freaking OUT!
This past season proved to be quite busy for the album. I was able to play many different venues and enjoyed my time sharing the music of “Hearing Winter” with many friends, fans, and fam!
“Helping Out”
As always-I enjoy playing gigs that help raise money for good works.I was able to provide music for a great ministry where folks were able to do their holiday and Christmas shopping. It was back to the “Iron Bell” where I had my debut concert for “Hearing Winter”.
What a great time I had just sharing sounds of the season with all those folks. Plus, much of the profits went to help this great ministry.
“Playing Out”
I was able to play at our local Hallmark store in our mall. It was such a treat to have both my mom and my daughter come at the same time. We took a “3 generations” pose in between songs. This was such a successful event for both myself and the store. Hoping to get to do it again this year!
“Freaking Out”
As fun as this event was-I was totally freaking out! I had the opportunity to play at a great venue here in town-the KCD Theater. KCD is a state of the art school which has a state of the art performance theater run by an amazing team of techie’s.
My awesome friend (and piano tuner) Matt Grossman was able to get the gig for us. I had my friend’s band “Bury the Survivors” be a part of the event. We had a sing-along in the middle of the concert for all the kids in the audience. We had a great turn out and I enjoyed performing for everyone. It was just a bit of a “freak out” for me as I had never co-ordinated so many moving parts!
