National Radio, Cartwheels, and Banquets, OH MY!
This has been a great week for “Hearing Winter” album promotion! My friends at Life in Abundance gave me the opportunity to play for their recent fundraising banquet. I was able to accompany while playing several worship tunes as well as songs from the album while guests ate dinner and listened to my great friend and pastor Greg Allen give a beautiful talk, encouraging them to give generously to a wonderful cause!!! The most exciting plug was received from my friend, Hugh Hewitt, while he was recording his daily program at Salem Radio here in Louisville (www.wfia-fm.com). He has a national radio show out of California and was kind enough to let me and my hubby and our daughter sit in on a segment of the show. He gave “Hearing Winter” a quick plug while it played in the background. (www.hughhewitt.com) It has also opened the door to do another show for a weekly broadcast!!
Then, my new friends at Cartwheels Paper Boutique in the Chenoweth Square Plaza invited me to play for their Holiday Walk on Thursday and Friday evening. There were gobs of folks who came to start their shopping early and it was a huge boost for “Hearing Winter”. I need to do this more often as the album was flying off the shelf. Thank you Meredith and Kathy!!!! What a blessing! Also a BIG thanks to my friend Matt Grossman, owner of www.VintagePianoWorks.com who supplied the beautiful digital piano for the night. (If any of you folks out there would like me to play for your store or holiday event, please contact me via www.somebodyhelpthegirl.com or this site).
A great big thanks to everyone for believing in the beauty of the “Hearing Winter” album!
